Maris production includes 5 main lines — Classic, Fashion, Technical Sport, Public & Military and Working – all guaranteed by elegance, resistance, personality and comfort. The manufacturing processes vary according to the product type, with the aim to ensure always the best possible quality in line with the needs of customers who are increasingly demanding and informed. Maris manages the entire production chain: each step is carried out in house, from the choice of the finest raw materials to the packaging of end products, using flexible and efficient facilities that allow the production of excellent socks which are the result of craftsmanship and innovative technologies.
The production process of our socks starts from raw materials: the finest natural and man-made fibres are carefully selected and stored in our large covered areas; Maris uses only eco-friendly yarns as certified by Oeko-Tex Standard 100.
Our R&D staff select materials and production ranges, choose yarns, styles, designs, colours and finishes considering the latest fashion trends and the various goals to manufacture the best and most suitable socks for each individual use.
Our selected yarns are processed on our circular knitting machines that allow simple and complex patterns, structures and manufacturing methods that characterise Maris hosiery.
All our products undergo a strict quality control both during the production process and at cycle end on the finished products, in order to oversee the production standards and the correct operation of all our machines.
Our socks are dry cleaned or washed in special industrial washing machines to eliminate any residues, improve softness and stabilize the size.
To eliminate any production folds Maris products are ironed with the most advanced steam ironing presses which allows maintaining unchanged the characteristics and the shape of each item.
Our production includes special grippy socks with silicone/elastomer sole or dots that are ideal for your barefoot activities and don’t slip in your shoes.
For a greater customization of the product our socks are passed through a special machine that applies logos and decals, under the specific requirement of each customer.
A thin shaped tissue can be inserted in the socks to keep them wrinkle free and provide stronger support during product exposure.
Depending on customer needs either traditional customized labels with bar code or electronic tags using the RFID (Radio Frequency Identification Device) technology can be supplied and applied.
The items are ready for labelling: each label can be customized with the customer’s logo and specifies all law requirements (size and composition) together with any other necessary information, such as the fine yarns or the technical structures used.
To ensure an excellent quality product all socks are carefully checked before the folding and boxing process.
